Registered Nurse - Acute Care - Med Surg/Post Surgical - Full Time Day Shift

About the Role

The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team on a magnet-designated, award-winning 28-bed med-surg unit. Responsibilities include performing the nursing process, coordinating care, and partnering with patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, develop individualized care plans, and utilize evidence-based practices.
• Foster relationship-based care sensitive to cultural diversity and patient goals.
• Ensure safe, timely documentation and promote respectful interdisciplinary communication.
• Support performance improvement and participate in shared governance.
• Complete competency assessments, serve as a preceptor, and uphold standards through ongoing education and mentoring.
• Advocate for research, participate in quality initiatives, and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Plan patient care across the continuum, develop protocols, and support resource efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience.
• Active RN license (single state or multi-state).
• BLS certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management abilities.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
