Registered Nurse - Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Unit

About the role

This position involves providing comprehensive inpatient nursing care, including assessments, treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. The RN addresses patients' physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs, ensuring safety and promoting positive health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and formulate care plans based on scope of practice and unit standards.
• Deliver direct patient care and evaluate intervention effectiveness, adjusting plans as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians, ancillary staff, and team members to address patient needs and facilitate discharge planning.
• Participate in unit decision-making, quality, and safety initiatives, promoting evidence-based practices.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure proper handling.
• Engage in professional growth, mentorship, and community involvement through resource groups and organizational programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing specialty training program (required); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
