About the role

The Acute Registered Nurse provides specialized dialysis care within a hospital setting, supervising and assisting Patient Care Technicians and Licensed Vocational Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and conduct physical assessments
• Set up and troubleshoot dialysis machines
• Ensure compliance with legal and safety standards
• Provide patient education and documentation
• Manage inventory and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to deliver coordinated care and address patient concerns
• Contribute to staff training and participate in infection control
• Ensure operational readiness of equipment

Requirements

• Relevant nursing licensure
• Knowledge of dialysis procedures
• Strong communication skills to foster teamwork and patient relations
