Registered Nurse - AAU

Role Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using evidence-based practices, technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration. They perform comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, social, and psychological needs, develop individualized care plans involving patients and families, and coordinate care delivery by delegating tasks to the healthcare team. The RN evaluates patient responses to interventions, revises care plans as needed, and ensures legal, ethical, and regulatory compliance. They promote professionalism, accurate documentation, and continuous development of nursing skills. Key Responsibilities Perform assessments and gather information from patients, families, and team members.Develop and implement personalized care plans with active involvement from patients and families.Coordinate and delegate care activities within the interdisciplinary team, managing resources effectively.Evaluate patient outcomes, satisfaction, and adjust care plans accordingly.Maintain professionalism, legal standards, and proper documentation practices. Qualifications & Skills Current RN license in the practice state, with valid compact licenses transferred within 60 days if applicable.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.Strong skills in patient care delivery, interdisciplinary teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and documentation. Physical Requirements Ability to see, read, and assess patient needs; operate monitors and equipment.Manual dexterity and strength for patient transfers and handling supplies.Ability to stand, walk, and assist with patient mobility and equipment navigation.For roles involving driving, ability to operate a vehicle safely.
