Registered Nurse: 7 Tower: IP Neuro Progressive Care - Part Time - Nights

About the role

A 22-bed mixed acuity unit specializing in neurosurgery and stroke, with a range of other diagnoses. Growth opportunities within the unit and beyond, including the first Henry Ford Virtual Nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provides, delegates, supervises, and documents care and teaching of patients and family.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire.
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience Required: BSN preferred.
• Education/Experience Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN), Minimum 1 year hospital inpatient RN experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac monitoring, titrating vasoactive drips, post-surgical care, post PCI care, and chest tubes.
• Preferred Qualifications: Participation in Professional Advancement Ladder (PAL) Certifications/Licensures.
