Registered Nurse 3C Stepdown Part Time Midnights - Warren

About the role

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Responsibilities

• Care for high acuity patients with cardiac, respiratory, neuro, gastro, nephrology, and vascular conditions.
• Manage telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, insulin and vasopressors, and patients on BiPAP or high-flow oxygen, typically with a 3-4 patient assignment.
• Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where skills grow and work is valued every day.

Requirements

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac, respiratory, neuro, gastro, nephrology, and vascular conditions.
• Ability to manage telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, insulin and vasopressors, and patients on BiPAP or high-flow oxygen.
