Overview
Registered Nurse RN - Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
Location: Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, ME
Full-time | Nights | 7p–7a | 12-Hour Shifts
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults in the CCU, including monitoring cardiac status and implementing interventions.
- Apply the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Maintain cardiac monitoring, vital signs, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Communicate promptly with physicians and healthcare teams regarding clinical changes, diagnostic results, and symptomatology.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac disease processes, treatments, and care plans.
- Supervise and collaborate with other nursing personnel, maintaining CCU standards of care.
- Document all care, interventions, and patient observations accurately while maintaining patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
- Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator Management experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Benefits
Up to $20,000 for Registered Nurses with 2 or more consecutive years of RN experience. Up to $10,000 for New Graduate Registered Nurses.
