Registered Nurse - 12hr Night Shift

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in a Neurology Stroke Unit, providing specialized care for adult neurological patients with conditions such as stroke, seizures, and head injuries. Responsibilities

• Providing accurate direct and indirect patient care to ensure safety, comfort, and hygiene
• Educating patients on disease prevention and recovery
• Administering medications and therapeutic agents
• Performing skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiating IV access
• Assessing symptoms, reactions, and physical conditions, and initiating emergency procedures when needed
• Planning and implementing individualized care based on observations and assessments
• Addressing safety concerns and respecting diverse cultural backgrounds
• Adjusting care to meet specific population needs, including age, cultural, and psychosocial factors

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN or higher preferred
• Current California RN license
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Minimum 3 years recent acute RN experience in a specialty setting (or 1 year for RN II)
• Knowledge of standards of practice and dedication to high-quality patient service
• Specialty certification preferred for RN III (can be obtained within one year of hire)
