Registered Nurse 1 (NY HELPS)

Duties

• Participate in nursing activities, including the preparation, evaluation, and implementation of nursing care plans to ensure quality patient care
• Act as health liaison
• Cook up and schedule medical follow-up, including completion of consultations
• Provide first aid and emergency nursing care
• Maintain pharmaceutical supplies for each individual
• Attend team reviews and present information, as needed
• Meet documentation requirements, such as obtaining and transcribing physicians’ orders, daily nursing notes, health charts, medication regimen reviews, and case review summaries
• Provide medication administration
• Maintain inventory standards for medication, controlled substances, and medical supplies
• Participate in staff training
• Prepare clinical and administrative reports

Requirements

Transfer: One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer.

Open to the Public: This title is part of the New York Hiring Emergency Limited Placement Statewide program (NY HELPS).

Licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State. Must maintain a valid New York State license and registration.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Open to the Public: This title is part of the New York Hiring Emergency Limited Placement Statewide program (NY HELPS).
• Licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State. Must maintain a valid New York State license and registration.

Pay and Schedule

Salary Range: From $111,147 to $120,138 Annually

Shift differential applies four or more hours between 4 PM-12 AM; and inconvenience pay applies to those who work four or more hours between 6 PM and 6 AM.

Schedule

Shifts are from 2 PM to 10 PM.

• Criminal Background Check (CBC)
