General Summary

The Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for supporting the Mission and Vision of Henry Ford Rochester Hospital by performing a variety of procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for diagnosis and treatment.

Absorbs responsibility for designated areas of procedures and may be assigned duties as an instructor in areas of specific competence.

Charged with patient care responsibilities while the patient is in the department.

Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Maintains a positive and professional atmosphere for patients.

Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical or emotional stress.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

  • Must possess and maintain a valid nuclear medicine registration from credentialing bodies such as the ARRT, Society of Nuclear Medicine or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) at time of hire/transfer.

Education

  • High school graduate.

Work Experience

  • One (1) year of full-time experience in clinical Nuclear Medicine Imaging is preferred.
