Duties
- Dispense oral, inhalation and topical medications to patients under direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Observe patients for drug reactions and report any problems to the nurses.
- Perform tasks associated with medication administration, including patient vital signs, calculate medication dosages, and stock the medication cart.
- Record medication administration according to agency procedure.
- Assist the nurse in providing care to clients, which includes observation and reporting of client needs.
- Recognize and perform tasks according to level of education and training.
- Accept responsibility and accountability for own performance according to state laws and regulations.
- Perform tasks in an ethical, legal, and caring manner.
- Perform tasks safely and effectively to assure client comfort and welfare.
- Respect client rights.
- Protect confidential client information unless otherwise required to promote client safety and welfare.
- Follow federal, state, and agency regulations to protect own health and that of others.
- Solicit guidance from the nurse as needed to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Must be registered with the state as a Registered Medication Aide.
- Must pass state background check and drug screening.
- CPR/BLS, First Aid, TB, and RMA certification required.
- Experience working with MAR and laptops is preferred.
Pay
Pay is negotiable (depending on experience).
Schedule
Looking for overnight 7pm-7am and mornings 7am-7pm. Some weekends are REQUIRED!
