Responsibilities

• Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are administered according to the Physician’s orders.
• Understand and follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all Bickford policies and procedures regarding medication management.
• Understand and appropriately utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise the resident care work of non-licensed team members.
• Lead in demonstrating the Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ to all other team members on shift.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willingness to take additional training or education as required by specific states.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent in organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system for medication administration.
