Registered Medication Aid

About the role

This overnight position supports resident care by ensuring daily medication needs are met with compassion and dignity, allowing residents to live life to the fullest.

Responsibilities

• Accurately follow the resident Medication Administration Record (MAR) to administer medications according to physician orders.
• Adhere to the “Six rights of medication administration” and all Bickford policies and procedures regarding medication management.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration and communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members and other branch areas as appropriate.
• Demonstrate Bickford’s “Whatever it Takes” mission to all team members on shift.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience caring for seniors.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willingness to complete additional training or education as required by state regulations.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Competent in or able to learn Bickford’s eMAR system for medication administration.
