About the role
This overnight position supports resident care by ensuring daily medication needs are met with compassion and dignity, allowing residents to live life to the fullest.
Responsibilities
- Accurately follow the resident Medication Administration Record (MAR) to administer medications according to physician orders.
- Adhere to the “Six rights of medication administration” and all Bickford policies and procedures regarding medication management.
- Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration and communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction.
- Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members and other branch areas as appropriate.
- Demonstrate Bickford’s “Whatever it Takes” mission to all team members on shift.
Qualifications
- Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience caring for seniors.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Willingness to complete additional training or education as required by state regulations.
- CPR and First Aid certifications required.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Competent in or able to learn Bickford’s eMAR system for medication administration.
