Duties & Responsibilities
- Directs and monitors a specific segment of a project.
- Participates in directing or monitoring the project’s overall progress, including conceptualizing and developing graphics and writing and administering the project as delegated.
- Provides project assistance such as directing, supervising, coordinating, reviewing, and evaluating efforts of various landscape architecture/planning and design disciplines within the project group.
- Recommends corrective action to be taken when necessary.
- Prepares and approves design drawings, specifications, studies, and written work.
- Prepares for and participates in oral presentations to prospective and existing clients and review agencies.
- Directs and coordinates written material and ensures receipt of information from subcontractors to meet the overall project goals.
- Prepares and assists in the preparation of project schedules, equipment lists, manpower budgets, work schedules, cost estimates, manpower forecasts, project correspondence, and project scope definition.
- Reviews and approves actions per client requests for landscape architecture change orders.
- Performs all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
- Makes recommendations for advancement to a Landscape Architect IV.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture
- Registered Landscape Architect (RLA)
- AutoCAD skills with the ability to produce technical drawings and digital production skills are required.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret ordinances, codes, plans, maps, and blueprints.
- Must possess strong site design, park design, streetscape design skills and graphic abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and written communications skills required.
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record is mandatory.
- Travel to job sites will be required. Primarily local travel, occasionally overnight stay.
- Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and comply with all applicable safety codes and requirements.
