Registered Dietitian (RDN)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will assess patients' nutritional needs, develop and implement interventions to support their nutritional status, and improve their quality of life in alignment with individual goals.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise and education to patients, staff, and the healthcare team.
• Adhering to standards set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with other departments on procedures, policies, and problem-solving related to dining services and nutrition.
• Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Passed the national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible per Academy requirements.
• Completion of 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified according to state regulations.
• Knowledge of assessment standards, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach and communicate effectively about nutrition and dietetics.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare or long-term care settings.
