Registered Dietitian (RD)
About the role
Provides oversight of the Dietary Department to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met in accordance with policies, regulations, and care plans. Supervises dietary staff, manages food ordering, preparation, delivery, and clean-up, ensuring quality and safety standards. Develops menus, monitors food production, and ensures adherence to therapeutic diets and physician orders. Conducts resident interviews for diet history, maintains accurate records, and evaluates meal quality. Ensures sanitation, safety, and proper food handling through regular rounds and compliance with regulations. Manages budget, supplies, and equipment maintenance, and participates in quality assurance initiatives. Collaborates with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident care.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field
- Current registration with the CDR
- ServSafe certification within 90 days
- Strong Computer Skills
- Background Checks
Qualifications
- Healthcare or skilled nursing management experience
- Knowledge of MDS and care planning
- Supervisory skills
