About the role
We are seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) or RD-eligible candidate to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor residents' nutritional status
- Develop care plans and provide recommendations to medical staff
- Evaluate residents' needs related to nutrition support, skin integrity, and weight management
- Coordinate procurement of nutritional supplies and supplements with vendors and departments
- Supervise meal service to ensure diet modifications are followed
- Educate residents, families, and staff on nutrition concepts and diet modifications
- Review and update dietary care plans for effectiveness
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to review residents’ care plans
- Work with speech-language pathologists for dysphagia diets
- Review menu changes to comply with policies and regulations
- Update diet orders and menus daily in software systems
- Supervise dietary staff and conduct quality audits
- Ensure compliance with weight monitoring regulations and policies
- Communicate daily with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality resident care
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian with a degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Knowledge of applicable guidelines (state and federal)
- Proficiency with EMR and menu software
