About the role
Alcanza is a growing multi-site, multi-phase clinical research company with a network of locations across AL, AZ, FL, GA, IL, MA, MI, MO, NV, VA, SC, TN, TX, and Puerto Rico. We specialize in Phase I-IV studies across therapeutic areas including vaccine, neurology, dermatology, psychiatry, and general medicine. The Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutritional assessments, nutrition therapy, and/or nutrition counseling services for participants of clinical studies, in compliance with study protocol, SOPs, GCP, ICH, and FDA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an informational resource and subject matter expert for study subjects on nutrition and nutrition education.
- Review subjects’ medical history and conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, nutrition therapy, and/or nutritional counseling sessions with study participants according to protocol guidelines.
- Meet with Sponsors and Study Monitors as needed to address questions.
- Maintain documentation in accordance with ALCOA-C standards and complete all monitor and sponsor queries.
- Complete all sponsor-assigned training, certifications, and re-certifications per protocol requirements.
- Attend and successfully complete all company training programs; participate in webinars and other study meetings as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of subjects, customers, and company information.
- Perform all other duties as requested or assigned.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field AND 2+ years' clinical nutrition education experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is a plus.
- BLS certification is preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, email, electronic health records, and web applications.
- Typing proficiency (40+ WPM).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills; ability to work well independently and collaboratively with coworkers, subjects, managers, and external customers.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, adapt to changes in workloads and priorities, and work under minimal supervision.
