Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Pediatric Outpatient Nutrition

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to Join our Team!

Job Duties

• Uses the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ and Nutrition Care Process to assess individual needs.
• Develops a plan to meet assessed needs, including recommendations regarding diet, meal patterns, and supplements.
• Confers with the health care team to develop goals related to patient care.
• Documents in accordance with established standards.
• Evaluates nutritional status and makes recommendations regarding optimal care.
• Counsels individuals, families, and care providers on nutrition and health issues.
• Plans and conducts group classes for individuals in various areas of nutrition.
• Writes nutrition-related orders for hospitalized patients.
• Consults, educates, and advocates on food, culinary, nutrition, and health issues.
• Plans for continuing nutrition care for individuals, as needed, using ancillary resources.
• Self-evaluates results and monitors for trends and changes in productivity related to workload.
• Compiles statistics and completes Clinical Productivity worksheets on a timely basis.
• Participates in departmental initiatives to meet strategic goals.
• Precepts students as indicated. Mentors and trains new staff members, colleagues, and other members of the care team as applicable.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree
• Certifications: Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist - Default Issuing Body
