Registered Dietitian, Long Term Care - Part Time

About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian to develop and oversee the implementation of nutrition interventions and prescriptions for patients' nutrition diagnoses at Bishop Spencer Place. This role involves coordinating the plan of care and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position is 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in Standards of Practice (Nutrition Assessment, Nutrition Diagnosis, Nutrition Intervention/Plan of Care, and Nutrition Monitoring and Evaluation).
• Demonstrate proficiency in Standards of Professional Performance (Quality in Practice, Competency/Accountability, Provision of Services, Application of Research, Communication and Application of Knowledge, and Utilization and Management of Resources).
• Use the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) ADIME—Assessment, Diagnosis, Intervention, Monitoring, and Evaluation—for patient nutritional assessments.
• Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) and document clinical criteria to identify patients with malnutrition.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members regarding patients' nutrition plans of care.
• Complete yearly department competency and other performance improvement projects as assigned.
• Use Evidence-Based Practice in patient care.
• Serve as a preceptor to dietetic interns.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Licensed Dietitian (Missouri Division of Professional Registration).
• Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration, CDR).
• Bachelor’s Degree.

Schedule

Part-time, 24 hours per week, day shift.
