About the role

The Clinical Dietitian works closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy. The Clinical Dietitian conducts and documents nutrition assessment, intervention, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation, including nutrition-focused physical exams. The Clinical Dietitian educates the patient and/or appropriate family member(s), serves as a nutrition educator for the other healthcare professionals, department employees, and acts as a nutrition resource for the community. The Clinical Dietitian manages resources in a cost-effective manner; participates in performance improvement efforts; and maintains professional competency and skills required for professional practice. The Clinical Dietitian participates in various interdisciplinary teams and fosters continuity of care across all stages of the healthcare system.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an approved/accredited university or college program, a Master’s degree is preferred but not required
  • Registered Dietitian with The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and currently Licensed or ability to be Licensed in the State of Ohio
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

Pay

Starting pay is based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Work in a standing or walking position for 20-30% of the work time.
