Registered Dietitian - Cardiac ICU (CICU) (JR222911)

About the role

The Registered Dietitian will provide clinical nutrition services to patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized nutritional care plans for cardiac ICU patients.
• Provide consultation and education to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding nutrition and dietary needs.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust nutritional plans as necessary.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition care in the CICU.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Dietitian in the state of Ohio.
• Experience working in an acute care setting, preferably a hospital or intensive care unit.
• Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Completion of a dietetic internship accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education (CADE).
• Current certification as a Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
