Registered Dietitian - 16 hours - Part-Time

This is a part-time position for a Registered Dietitian, licensed in PA, requiring 16 hours a week with flexible scheduling. Some availability on Tuesday or Thursday is preferred.
This is a highly collaborative position that requires the ability to balance multiple tasks at one time, prioritize, work with diverse constituencies, and address competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
- Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
- Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Culinesse standards and policy.
- Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests; probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as Culinesse/client policies and procedures (e.g., Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by staying abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements, and communicates them to other departments.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Licensed Registered Dietitian.
- Minimum one (1) year of work experience in health care, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Proficient in computer skills and report management experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, actively look for ways to help people, and be aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession, including experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems and excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills.
- Ability to adjust actions in relation to others' actions, monitor or assess performance to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Must comply with any dress code requirements.
Schedule
16 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. Some availability on Tuesday or Thursday is preferred.
