Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Full-Time)

About the role

Newberry County Memorial Hospital (NCMH) is seeking a full-time (32 or 36 hours per week) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with prostate sonography experience. The role involves performing ultrasound imaging and procedures, verifying orders/requisitions, ensuring accurate computer documentation, and monitoring procedures for timely physician interpretation.

Newberry County, located approximately 30 minutes from the Greenville, Spartanburg, and Columbia urban areas, offers a progressive, largely rural setting with a strong sense of community, historic roots, and proximity to both mountains and beaches.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging and procedures.
• Check orders and requisitions prior to imaging studies/procedures.
• Provide accurate computer documentation.
• Monitor procedures to ensure timely interpretation by physicians.

Requirements

• South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCQRSA) license required.
• Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• Prostate sonography experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Vascular Experience (RVT) or CCI (RVS) certification.
• Echo (RDCS) or CCI (ACS) certification.
