Registered Dental Hygienist Team Leader
About the Role
Big Smiles Missouri, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist Team Lead in St. Louis, MO, and surrounding areas to provide dental care to underserved children at their schools. Responsibilities
- Assist with oral health management of all patients, being a team player at all times
- Verify patient identity using name and date of birth prior to treatment and initial the medical chart
- Obtain oral health assessments for new and follow-up patients
- Review medical history and other pertinent oral health information
- Provide oral hygiene services, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, sealant application, and fluoride application
- Provide dental assistance as directed by the dentist
- Offer oral health education and individual counseling to patients
- Document provided dental services on patient charts
- Travel daily to and from school sites
Qualifications
- Active RDH license
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
- CPR certification
- Experience with patient charting (paper forms, tooth surface charting)
- Ability to work well with children
- Team player with experience working in small teams
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
