Registered Dental Hygienist Team Leader

About the Role

Our innovative in-school dental program transforms classrooms, auditoriums, gyms, or other suitable areas into fully functional dental offices for the day. Using state-of-the-art portable equipment and the latest technology in digital radiography, you’ll deliver preventive and restorative care to children who might otherwise go without.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oral health management of all patients as a collaborative team member.
• Verify patient identity using name and date of birth prior to treatment and document verification on medical charts.
• Obtain oral health assessments for each patient (new-baseline and follow-up).
• Review medical history and pertinent oral health information.
• Provide oral hygiene services, including dental prophylaxis scaling, sealant application, and fluoride treatment, following accepted best practices.
• Assist the dentist as directed.
• Deliver oral health education and individual counseling (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing).
• Document all provided dental services on patient charts.
• Travel daily to and from school sites across counties.

Requirements

• Active RDH license.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel.
• CPR (BLS) certification.
• Experience with patient charting (paper forms and tooth surface charting).
• Ability to work well with children and as part of a small team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Schedule

• Full-time, school-day schedule (about 6–7 hours per day, typically 8:00 AM–3:00 PM).
• Evenings, weekends, and summers off.
