Registered Dental Hygienist - RDH (FT)

Derksen Dentistry is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Full-Time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team at our Lansing, MI location (2410 Lake Lansing Rd #2).

About the role

You will provide quality dental care to patients, working closely with our dentists to ensure the best possible outcomes. Our dedicated team includes one lead dentist, front desk coordinators, dental hygienists, and assistants.

Schedule

• Monday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Average of 8 patients per day. Morning huddles held Monday through Wednesday.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care with a focus on periodontal and oral health, as well as overall systemic health.
• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including:
• Prophy: 60 minutes (adult), 30 minutes (child)
• SRP (2 quads): 1.5 hours
• NP: 1 hour
• Adhere to sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Chart and schedule efficiently using Open Dental practice management software.
• Build lasting relationships with patients and teammates.
• Collaborate with dentists and staff to ensure a positive patient experience.

Requirements

• Active Michigan Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
• Anesthetic Certification preferred but not required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Computer proficiency for charting and scheduling.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude.
• Ability to multitask and remain open to new systems, techniques, and feedback.
• Integrity-focused work ethic.
