At Konza Prairie Community Health Center, we believe oral health is an essential part of whole-person care. We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing dental team and help provide high-quality, patient-centered care to the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient screenings including oral health assessments, health history review, oral cancer screenings, head and neck inspections, charting, and vital signs
- Complete dental radiographs (x-rays) and assist with development and review
- Remove calculus and plaque from tooth surfaces through preventive hygiene care
- Apply sealants, fluoride treatments, and other preventive materials
- Administer nitrous oxide sedation and local anesthesia as permitted
- Document existing restorations and identify areas of concern for dentist evaluation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, brushing, flossing, nutrition, and tobacco cessation
- Maintain infection control standards and sterilization procedures following universal precautions
- Assist with impressions for study casts and other clinical support as needed
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and support administrative workflow
Requirements
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Kansas
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, radiology, and infection control standards
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CPR certification
- Experience working in a community health or public health setting
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Schedule
Monday–Friday | Clinics close at 2:00 PM every Friday
