Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

Overview

Sentara CarePlex Hospital, in Hampton, VA, is currently hiring a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist. This is a full time, day shift position and requires "on-call" with a 30-minute response time. Up to 10K Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates!

Primary Responsibilities

• Assists physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Operates and monitors advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment.
• Accurately collects and maintains data throughout all procedures.
• Maintains a sterile environment throughout all procedures.
• Patient preparation, real-time monitoring, procedural documentation, and post-procedure care coordination.
• Administers medication under the direction of a qualified physician.
• Ensures compliance with all hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Participates in on-call rotation and responds rapidly to emergency cases, including STEMI activations.
• Contributes to ongoing quality assurance and process improvement initiatives in the cath lab.

Requirements

• Graduate of a diploma, associate, or bachelor level program in health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing).
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
• BLS certification.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year experience as a Cardiovascular Technician.
