Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the performance of vascular and interventional radiology procedures including angiograms, stent placements, embolizations, thrombolysis, and image-guided biopsies.
- Operate and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment during procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and administer contrast agents under physician direction.
- Ensure sterile technique and maintain a safe procedural environment.
- Accurately document procedure details in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in on-call rotation (2–3 evenings per week, 17:00–07:00, and every 3rd weekend) to provide emergency support for after-hours procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Required: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential through CCI or equivalent (e.g., ARRT with Interventional Radiography certification).
- PREFERRED: Experience in vascular and interventional radiology or a cath lab setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy and interventional procedures.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills.
