Position Overview
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will work directly with children on a one-on-one (1:1) basis to support behavioral, social, communication, and developmental goals. Most children receive services for approximately 3–7 hours per day.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one (1:1) support to children
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA
- Support children with behavioral challenges, developmental delays, and learning disabilities
- Collect and document data on client progress
- Collaborate with families, teachers, therapists, and supervisors
- Auxiliary children in achieving individualized goals
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with BACB guidelines
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of the Initial 40-Hour RBT Training
- Passed the Initial RBT Competency Assessment
- Application submitted to the BACB and successful completion of the RBT Examination
- Active RBT Certification (no pending, inactive, or expired status)
- Minimum of 2 years of RBT experience
- Continuous supervision by a BACB-certified supervisor in accordance with BACB guidelines
- CPR and First Aid Certifications required
- Experience working with IEPs and/or in a preschool setting
- Experience supporting children with behavioral challenges and developmental needs preferred
