About the Role
Achieving Stars Therapy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism, by delivering in-home and community-based ABA services. Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect data on client behavior during sessions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care coordination.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to commute to Newton, New Hampshire (required).
- Willingness to travel 100% (required).
Pay
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Schedule
- Part-time, 15 - 40 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday.
- In-person work location.
