Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RBT to join our team. As an RBT, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans for clients.

Responsibilities

• Implementing behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBACollecting and recording data on client behaviors and progress towards goals
• Aiding in the development of care plans tailored to individual needs
• Informing clients about behavioral strategies and interventions
• Maintaining documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborating with other professionals involved in the client's care to ensure a cohesive approach
• Supporting during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and encouraging environment for clients
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy

Requirements

• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly children
• Strong data collection skills to monitor client progress effectively
• Ability to educate clients and families about behavior management techniques
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate collaboration with team members and families
• A passion for helping others improve their lives through effective behavioral therapy
