About the role

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Intellistars ABA, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients, primarily children with developmental disabilities, in achieving their behavioral goals and improving their overall quality of life. You will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans and collaborate with other professionals involved in the client's care.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBAC
  • Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals
  • Aid in developing care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Teach clients and their families about behavioral strategies and interventions
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with other professionals involved in the client's care to ensure a cohesive approach
  • Provide support during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and encouraging environment for clients
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy

Requirements

  • Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly children
  • Strong data collection skills to monitor client progress effectively
  • Ability to educate clients and families about behavior management techniques
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate collaboration with team members and families
  • A passion for helping others improve their lives through effective behavioral therapy

Skills
