Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

About the role

Galaxy ABA Therapy is seeking Certified Behavior Technicians (BTs) to work one-on-one with children in various settings to implement skill-building and behavior-reduction plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children in home, school, or community settings
• Implement skill-building and behavior-reduction plans designed by a BCBA
• Use play-based, child-led approaches to make therapy fun and engaging
• Collect data on client progress and complete session documentation
• Collaborate with supervisors, parents, and team members
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional environment

Requirements

• High school diploma (required)
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Psychology, Education, or related field (preferred)
• Completion of 40-hour RBT training (or willingness to complete within the first six months of employment)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to engage in active play, lift up to 40 lbs, and ensure client safety
• Ability to pass background checks (FBI, CPS, State of VA) and provide CPR, HIPAA, and TB clearance (support provided)
• Prior ABA, childcare, or behavioral health experience is a plus but training is provided for the right candidate

Pay

$23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday–Friday (Weekends as needed)

Travel

Up to 25% within the Manassas area
