About the role
The successful candidate will provide direct support to students with intensive behavioral needs, including those who exhibit physically aggressive behaviors. They will implement behavior plans under the direction of the BCBA, engage in ongoing data collection and analysis, and support skill acquisition and academic goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to students with intensive behavioral needs, including those who exhibit physically aggressive behaviors
- Implement behavior plans under the direction of the BCBA
- Engage in ongoing data collection and analysis with the BCBA and special education team
- Support skill acquisition and academic goals, including implementation of academic accommodations
- Attend and participate in student behavior meetings
- Maintain active CPI, CPR, and First Aid certifications
- Be flexible with building assignments, as placements may shift throughout the school year; placements may shift from elementary to secondary hours, for example
- Ensure fidelity of interventions and consistency across settings
- Maintain RBT certification and accurately document supervision hours per BACB requirements
Qualifications
- Full certification as an RBT by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Certification must be completed by April 1, 2026, to be eligible to interview for one of the RBT positions
- Member of the Clarkston Paraeducator Association, MEA/NEA
- Appropriate placement on the current Clarkston Paraeducator Association, MEA/NEA Contract
Benefits
- Additional $3.00/hour while in the RBT position
Pay
- $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- 35 Hours Per Week
