About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with children with autism
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
- Reduce interfering behaviors using evidence-based techniques
- Provide support and encouragement to children and their families
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other professionals
- Document progress and communicate with BCBA and parents
- Ensure safety and comfort of children during sessions
- Adapt to the unpredictable and potentially confrontational nature of working with children with autism
Requirements
- Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification, and Tuberculosis test (if not done within the last year)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification required after completing onboarding

Pay
$18 - $25 per hour
Schedule
Hours vary based on client needs, typically ranging from 8 hours to 40 hours per week.
