Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Position Overview
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with Aviation ABA Therapy, you'll provide in-home ABA therapy to children and families across Layton, Kaysville, and Farmington. Working 1:1 with clients under the supervision of a BCBA, you'll build communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based ABA strategies. This is a hands-on, deeply rewarding role — and a vital part of helping children thrive in their own homes and communities.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized 1:1 ABA therapy in clients' homes as directed by your supervising BCBA
- Implement skill-building programs using play-based and structured teaching methods (DTT, NET)
- Collect and record behavioral data electronically using tablets/iPads after each session
- Communicate regularly with your BCBA and the clinical team regarding client progress
- Participate in parent training sessions, team meetings, and generalization activities
- Assist with assessments, materials preparation, and therapy session organization
- Follow individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and safety protocols
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold client confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Step into lead therapist responsibilities when requested
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Requirements
- Active RBT certification required (or willingness to obtain certification with company support)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); college coursework in psychology, education, or related field (preferred)
- Reliable transportation within Layton, Kaysville, Farmington, and surrounding areas
- Ability to kneel, squat, sit on the floor, and lift up to 25 lbs
- Comfortable using tablets and iPads for electronic data collection
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Genuine passion for working with children with autism and developmental disabilities
- Eligible to work in the United States with a valid driver's license and insurance
