About the role
The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) programs designed to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or other special needs.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by the BCBA to address target behaviors and skill deficits.
- Implement behavior reduction procedures and strategies to decrease challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior change.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
- Participate in regular supervision sessions with the BCBA to review client progress, discuss treatment strategies, and receive feedback.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- A current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or ability to become RBT within 90 days.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or special needs preferred.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations for client sessions.
