About the role
Provide behavioral support services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities in a home-based setting. Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and collect data to assess progress.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans as outlined in individualized education programs (IEPs) or service plans
- Collect and record data on behavior incidents and progress toward goals
- Support individuals in developing positive social skills and adaptive behaviors
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement behavior support strategies
- Document observations and interventions in client files
- Participate in regular supervision meetings to discuss progress and address challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or a related field
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Experience with data collection and analysis
- Passion for supporting individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
