Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

About the role

Provide behavioral support services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities in a home-based setting. Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and collect data to assess progress.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans as outlined in individualized education programs (IEPs) or service plans
• Collect and record data on behavior incidents and progress toward goals
• Support individuals in developing positive social skills and adaptive behaviors
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement behavior support strategies
• Document observations and interventions in client files
• Participate in regular supervision meetings to discuss progress and address challenges

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or a related field
• Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
• Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
• Experience with data collection and analysis
• Passion for supporting individuals with autism and developmental disabilities

Pay
