Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Ashland, VA - Mon–Fri evenings

About the role

Step Ahead ABA has an in‑home case open in Ashland, VA. A BCBA is already assigned to the case and covers the region. The placement team will review the exact days, times, and neighborhood with you during the interview before you commit. Current RBTs at Step Ahead receive first look at new cases, and the company fills from internal candidates first to promote continuity for clients and hours for technicians. Step Ahead’s mission is to provide autism therapy to families regardless of income, supporting Medicaid clients across Virginia with dedicated care managers and schedules built around each family’s real week. Responsibilities

• Deliver 97153 direct therapy according to the client’s treatment plan and behavior intervention plan developed by the assigned BCBA.
• Receive the treatment plan, an introduction to the family, and ongoing support from the family’s care manager.
• Collect session data and submit notes for the work performed.
• Receive supportive supervision, including competency assessments, observations, and actionable feedback from the BCBA (not just a signature).
• Participate in paid non‑billable time such as training and required meetings.

Requirements

• Active RBT registration with the BACB, current on your start date.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior ABA experience.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday evenings.
• Comfort working in a client’s home.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to stay active and engaged throughout therapy sessions.
