At The Place for Children with Autism, we’re more than a therapy center. We’re a team on a mission to help children with autism thrive. As a Behavior Therapist, you’ll help children with autism develop new skills, celebrate milestones, and reach their full potential – all while jumpstarting your own career in behavioral health. We provide fully paid comprehensive training to help you earn your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, meaning no prior experience is required. Most of our new hires are ready to sit for their certification within just 35 days of their start date.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children between the ages of 4-12 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them learn communication, social, and daily-living skills.
• Implement individualized therapy programs designed by our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), collect data, and participate in team discussions around progress and strategy.
• Bring energy, creativity, and passion – using play, movement, and laughter to engage children while promoting skill-building and growth.
• Partner with clients and their families in celebrating wins, problem-solving challenges, and promoting each child’s growth.
• Show up ready to engage and move with children throughout their sessions – this includes bending, squatting, lifting up to 30 pounds, and keeping pace with energetic young learners during play and activities.
• Take on multiple tasks and decisions at once – whether it’s guiding a child, taking notes, or communicating with parents or clinical staff.
• Serve as a positive role model with a commitment to safety by keeping the therapy environment organized, safe, and welcoming.
• Arrive to work on time each day, ready to learn, take feedback, and bring a can-do attitude to teams and families.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Accessibility to reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Able to travel to other clinics to support when assigned.

Pay

Competitive pay based on your experience and education:

• High School or Associate’s Degree: $17.05 – $23.00 per hour
• Master’s Degree (ABA, Psychology, Special Education): $18.00 – $24.00 per hour
