Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) (Accepting Applications)

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain RBT certification
• Implement written treatment plans as developed by the BCBAs
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients
• Work in 1:1 or small group settings with clients
• Collect data related to client goals to inform treatment decisions
• Submit regular written reports of client progress
• Collaborate with supervisors, coworkers, clients, and stakeholders effectively and professionally

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma and be at least 18-years-old
• Some higher education in psychology, education, human services, or related field preferred, but not required
• Experience working with children
• Experience with individuals with development disabilities and/or behavior challenges preferred
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Reliable transportation to and from our Emmitsburg center
• Pass a criminal background check from state and federal registries
• Active RBT certification preferred or ability to obtain RBT certification within 45-60 days of hire

• Able to work on feet for extended periods (e.g., 8-hour shifts or longer).
• Able to run or move quickly as needed during the course of the workday, often in response to time-sensitive tasks or emergencies.
• Lifting Requirements: The candidate must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Practice proper lifting techniques to ensure safety and avoid injury.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift. Hours of operation: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Staff hours will be either 7:30 – 4:00 PM or 8:00 – 4:30 PM consistent daily and communicated in advance.

Work Location

At our center in Emmitsburg, MD. 2 miles from Mount St. Mary’s University towards downtown Emmitsburg.
