Registered Behavior Technician (BT)
Position Overview
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will work directly with clients in home-based settings while implementing individualized treatment plans developed by a supervising BCBA. Candidates should be energetic, patient, organized, and comfortable working one-on-one with children. This position is ideal for professionals with experience as an RBT, ABA therapist, behavioral health technician, mental health technician, or individuals who have completed RBT training.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one ABA therapy sessions under BCBA supervision
- Implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs
- Accurately collect session data and complete daily documentation
- Support communication, social, behavioral, and adaptive skill development
- Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging therapy environment
- Collaborate with caregivers and clinical supervisors regarding client progress
- Follow ethical and professional standards outlined by the BACB
- Participate in team meetings, training opportunities, and ongoing development
Qualifications
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, ABA, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in ABA, behavioral therapy, childcare, or mental health preferred
- Completion of RBT training preferred for candidates entering the field
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
- Ability to actively engage with clients during sessions
- Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification if not already certified
