Registered Associate, Brokerage Service Group

About the role

Answers inbound calls to the Brokerage Service Group service center. Executes client account servicing activities as requested by clients and partners within appropriate time frames, including processing wires and fund transfers, cash movement, gift processing, preparing required documentation, opening and closing accounts, and researching client issues.

Develops a strong understanding of required steps for each request, communicating with NTSI operations teams as needed to properly execute activities. Addresses requirements in strict adherence with Northern Trust and Wealth Management Risk Management and NTSI Compliance policies, escalating issues to management as necessary.

Develops knowledge of business applications critical to client and account servicing, including online tools. Identifies service efficiency and process improvements where appropriate. Assists with new partner onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Process wires, fund transfers, cash movement, and gift processing
• Prepare required documentation for account activities
• Open and close client accounts
• Research and resolve client issues
• Communicate with NTSI operations teams to obtain necessary information
• Adhere to Northern Trust and Wealth Management Risk Management and NTSI Compliance policies
• Escalate issues or concerns to management promptly
• Develop proficiency in business applications and online tools
• Identify and suggest service efficiency and process improvements
• Assist with new partner onboarding

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Security/investment industry knowledge
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Technical skills and systems knowledge (e.g., Microsoft Office 365)
• College or University degree and/or relevant financial services industry work experience
• FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE), Series 7 or 7TO, and Series 66 registrations (or willingness to acquire within a prescribed time)
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future

Pay

Salary range is $67,500 - 111,500 USD (good faith estimate of base pay). Northern Trust provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
