Register Nurses (RN) All-Shifts

Position Summary

This employee has the responsibility for the coordination of total customer care. RN performs responsible supervisory and professional work in directing and coordinating all nursing units.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Verifies daily staffing and redistribution, as necessary
• Collaborates with all charge nurses daily to exchange information
• Makes rounds, morning and night, to assess customers' condition, giving special attention to critically ill customers
• Answers any/all emergencies throughout the shift (i.e., change of customer condition, starting IV's, pronouncement of death)
• Assists in assuring a safe and sanitary environment for customers, employees, and visitors

Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Experience in the nursing field, especially in geriatric nursing.

Skills

• Must have thorough knowledge of nursing theory, techniques and practices
• Must have thorough knowledge of the specialized procedures applied and equipment used in the area to which assigned
• Must have knowledge of medications, their proper dosage and expected results
