Job Responsibilities

  • Provide underwriting support, answers and guidance to customers and internal departments on real estate closings and title insurance matters.
  • Determine the Company's willingness and ability to insure real estate transactions.
  • Establish relationships with new customers and maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
  • Support and assist with business development efforts, including attendance on customer visits and networking events.
  • Create and deliver relevant educational topics at live seminars and webinars.
  • Aid with audits as needed.

Qualifications

  • A Juris Doctorate Degree from an ABA approved law school.
  • A licensed attorney in good standing in state in which the position is being sought.
  • 3-10 years of title insurance experience or real estate experience.
  • Knowledge of title insurance rates and rules for state in which the position is being sought.
  • Ability to discuss and respond in writing, proposed requests for coverage to determine potential risks; to suggest and provide adequate language in title commitments, policies and endorsements that will protect the Company's interests while assisting the Company’s agents.
  • The ability to prepare and deliver relevant live, web-based or recorded educational presentations to or for the Company’s customers.
  • The ability to support the development of new customers.
