Responsibilities

• Traffic Monitoring: Observe traffic conditions through cameras, maps, scanners, and tracking systems to identify issues
• Incident Response: Assess incidents and activate appropriate devices such as message boards, speed limit signs, and advisory systems
• Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate with police, 911 centers, and maintenance staff to support safe and efficient incident response
• Public Information: Share accurate traveler information through digital signs, advisory radio, and statewide alert systems
• Record Keeping: Log incident details, timelines, notifications, and actions into required reporting systems

Requirements

• One year of experience evaluating and coordinating information related to traffic data, incidents or conditions
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Juniata, McKean, Mifflin, or Potter counties
• Must meet the PA residency requirement
• Must be able to perform essential job functions

Pay

Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827 (before taxes).

Schedule

Full-time employment. Work hours are irregular and may be required to work varied shifts due to 24/7 operation. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
