Responsibilities

  • Develop new customer relationships and grow existing accounts throughout Kansas and Missouri.
  • Generate new business for daily traffic control rentals and related traffic control services.
  • Build relationships with general contractors, utility contractors, municipalities, engineering firms, state and local agencies, and other infrastructure customers.
  • Identify upcoming projects and position Heartland Traffic Services as the preferred traffic control partner.
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and bid responses.
  • Partner with operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with exceptional customer service.
  • Represent Heartland Traffic Services at contractor meetings, trade shows, networking events, and industry associations.
  • Monitor market activity, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Achieve sales and business development goals while expanding market share.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales, account management, or business development experience.
  • Experience in traffic control, construction services, equipment rental, roadway safety, or a related industry preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Existing relationships with contractors, municipalities, utility companies, or transportation agencies in Kansas and Missouri are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel throughout Kansas and Missouri.
