About the role

An established and rapidly growing retail broker and advisory firm is seeking an experienced M&A Property & Casualty Broking leader to help drive the next phase of growth within its transaction solutions practice.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an accomplished broker with deep experience supporting private equity sponsors, strategic acquirers and transaction advisors through complex M&A activity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding a high-performing broking team, developing talent, strengthening insurer partnerships and helping shape the long-term direction of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a specialist M&A Property & Casualty broking team, providing coaching, mentorship and day-to-day leadership.
  • Help define and execute the growth strategy for the practice, including hiring, team development and operational scalability.
  • Act as a senior technical resource on complex domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity firms, corporate clients, legal advisors and other transaction stakeholders.
  • Own and strengthen strategic partnerships with insurance carriers, negotiating market-leading solutions for clients.
  • Collaborate closely with national practice leadership to drive consistent delivery standards and support broader business objectives.
  • Partner with producers and client executives to develop tailored insurance programs that support acquisitions, divestitures and portfolio company needs.
  • Identify opportunities to broaden client relationships through cross-functional collaboration and value-added advisory services.
  • Monitor insurance market trends and emerging risks to ensure clients receive innovative and competitive solutions.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on technical excellence and exceptional client service.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in commercial Property & Casualty insurance with a strong concentration in mergers & acquisitions and private equity transactions.
  • Demonstrated success leading or mentoring broking teams within a complex, client-focused environment.
  • Strong relationships across the commercial insurance carrier marketplace and a proven ability to negotiate complex placements.
  • Deep understanding of transaction-related insurance programs and the broader insurance considerations throughout the M&A lifecycle.
  • Commercially minded with experience contributing to practice growth, business development initiatives and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence interacting with senior executives, investors and transaction advisors.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-profile engagements in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
